My last lists featured the best gas grills under $200 and under $500 but I had a lot of readers who wrote in saying they would love to see some higher end grills featured as well preferably under the $1000 range. So I went ahead and after testing various options, I’ve come up with this list of the best grills under 1000 dollars.
So whether you’re looking for the best built in grills under 1000 or the best gas grills under 1000 dollars, this list is a must read for you!
1. Genesis E-330 from Weber
There are a number of very good gas grills under $1000; however, almost none can compete directly with Weber’s Genesis E-330 in terms of quality and stability and that’s why it’s my undisputed choice for the best grills under 1000 dollars
The total cooking area present in the appliance is close to 637 sq. inches. Actually, the primary cooking area is 507 sq. inches, while the remaining 130 sq. inches consists of warming rack. As it goes without saying, the grilling or cooking area is large enough to satisfy a backyard party for a family get together. The 38,000 BTUs of burner capacity may not seem too great initially, but once you cook a few times, you will find that 38,000 BTUs is more than sufficient for even the most demanding cooking sessions.
The E-330 offers a range of good features, like a drip pan, convenient thermometer, electronically influenced ignition, six tool hooks, bottom wheels for easy movement etc.
Note that although most things about this grill are near perfect, there are two small issues. First, the side tables and the lid get really hot when the grill is operating at a high temperature. So, you must be very careful during times when handling it. Moreover, the drip pan gets filled up with water, particularly when the season is rainy. In fact, the pan can spill grease on your grill too.
You must keep in mind that if you want the highest quality of performance from your Weber, you must religiously follow your cleaning routine. However, you do not have to be scared, because cleaning this grill is very easy. In addition, the grill can be prevented from getting turned on accidently by pulling a cover over it. If you want to ensure maximum safety though, always disable the tank gas valve once you are done with the grill. Keep in mind also that since this grill comes with a number of different parts or components, the assembly process takes a bit of time.
2. Signet 90 Propane Grill from Broil King
Having a burner that has the capacity to provide as much as 44,000 BTUs, the Signet 90 Grill manufactured by Broil King is really a powerful thing. The appliance comes with 635 sq. inches of total area of cooking, which is great. Note that 400 square inches takes care of burners. Since the burner has a wide area of cooking, preparing various items simultaneously is easy.
The cooking grids are made of cast-iron, and are quite heavy-duty. Three dual-tube burners are present which are made of stainless steel. In addition, there is an aluminum oven having therma-cast, which boasts of a wrap made of stainless steel. The appliance is ideal for dealing with roasts and large turkeys, mainly because of its deep oven. Since the aluminum used is rust-proof, the appliance has a very good capability of retaining heat effectively. In terms of installation and user-friendliness, this one scores very high. In addition, there is a premium rotisserie kit, which provides side burner, as well as rear rotisserie.
Having a construction quality that can only be described as excellent in this price range, this appliance is not only sturdy, but also very durable. Simply put, this is one of the most versatile quality cooking appliances available at present.
3. Spirit E-320 by Weber
I’ve included another Weber grill when it comes to choosing the best grills under 1000 dollars and in case you are in search of a grill which can satisfy the appetite of all your family members at once, along with a few important guests, then you have got to take a look at the E-320. Weber’s grills are always fantastic, and this one is even better. Having 3 primary burners, and a side burner, this grill can provide an output close to 32,000 BTUs. The primary area of cooking is 424 sq. inches, which is not the highest in the world, but still highly satisfactory. The appliance has cast iron grates which have porcelain coating. The grates make even heat transfer possible – certainly a plus.
There are many good grills which are too big to fit in small spaces. However, that is not the case with this beast. Although it is very powerful and has a large cooking area, it does not take up much space. Funny thing is, regardless of its compactness, it can easily fit 20 pounds of turkey, meat roasts, as well as veggies simultaneously. To cook sauces, side dishes or for simple food warm up sessions, the side burner is truly useful.
This Weber has a rust-resisting porcelain coating. The coating has been put in such a way that it is almost impossible for the same to peel off over time. While the crossover ignition is certainly a great addition – lighting all the 3 burners with a single push, the thermometer that has been mounted centrally is great in quality and accuracy too. In addition, the fuel gauge that lets a user know how much gas is left is a nice touch.
